The Medical Office Administration Program is designed to prepare students to keep the offices of physicians, hospitals, and other health practitioners running smoothly. Students learn to update and file patients' medical records, fill out insurance forms, arrange for hospital admissions and laboratory services, answer telephones, greet patients, generate correspondence, schedule appointments, and handle billing and bookkeeping. Work habits and attitude, as well as the ability to communicate effectively, are an integral part of the program.
