The Associate in Arts Program (AA) is designed for students who intend to transfer to a four-year institution and pursue a bachelor of arts degree, while the Associate in Science Program (AS) is designed for students who intend to transfer to a four-year institution and pursue a bachelor of science degree. Students are encouraged to select a major and identify their transfer institution early in their college experience. The STARS Guide includes specific transfer requirements for public colleges and universities in Alabama. Students wishing to transfer to a private college or university can find transfer assistance by visiting the Alabama Community College System 2-to-4 Transfer site. 

The Associate in Arts/Associate in Science Program is comprised of three divisions. Courses taught through the Math and Science Division include biology, chemistry, math, physics, and physical science. Courses taught through the Language, Humanities, and Fine Arts Division include art, English composition and literature, humanities, music, speech, and theater. Courses taught through the Business, IT, and Social Sciences Division include business, computer science, criminal justice, economics, ethics, geography, history, psychology, religion, and sociology. LBWCC offers a wide variety of scheduling options, so students can complete their AA or AS online or on campus.
