Types ofForestry Degree Programs

Associate degree. With an associate’sdegree, you will be trained in forest biology and ecology. You can completethis degree program in two years or less. Students with an associate’s degreeoften work as forest technicians, fishery technicians or game wardens.
Bachelor’s degree. In three to fouryears, you can complete your bachelor’s and work in a number of different areasrelated to forestry, such as conservation, ecology, environmental studies andenvironmental management.
Master’s degree. A master’s degreeusually takes an additional two to three years to complete. Generally, you’llpick one area to specialize in like environmental science, green buildingpractices or conservation.
Whichever forestry degree program you choose, beprepared for a highly rewarding career.
