Six Students Sign as Apprentices at Shaw Industries Group, Inc.

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. (Shaw) and Lurleen B. Wallace (LBW) Community College welcomed six student apprentices at a recent signing day ceremony.

The LBW industrial electronics students formally committed to a mechatronics technician apprenticeship at Shaw’s Andalusia, Ala. manufacturing facility.

Accepting the apprentice positions were sophomores Wyatt Brooks of Florala, Cohl Foshee of Andalusia, Dylan Jackson of Andalusia, Shawn Odor of Laurel Hill, Fla., Micah Phillips of Enterprise, and Ashton Threatt of Andalusia.

Jayden Nearor was awarded a certificate of completion from the Alabama Office of Apprenticeship (AOA).

"We look forward to Jayden continuing in a full-time position at Shaw following his successful apprenticeship," said Shaw Engineer, Dodd Riley.
