“People who enjoy bluegrass or country music recognize the name of Ricky Skaggs,” said Foundation President Kim Carter. “This event is for the whole family and will be held at the Covington Center Arena in Andalusia. Be sure to get tickets early and enjoy an evening with one of the best entertainers in the country.”
Skaggs racked up numerous music awards during his 40-plus year career, including 15 Grammy Awards, eight from the Country Music Association, nine from the Academy of Country Music, 11 International Bluegrass Music Association awards, nine from Inspirational Country Music Association, and two Dove Awards.

The Kentucky Thunder Band is an all-star lineup that includes Paul Brewster as tenor vocals on rhythm guitar, Russ Carson on banjo, Jake Workman on lead guitar, Mike Barnett on fiddle, Dennis Parker as baritone vocals on guitar, and Jeff Picker on bass guitar.
