LBW Graduation Speaker Announced

Bharani Rajakumar, founder and CEO of Transfr is the keynote speaker for the 2023 graduation ceremonies on May 12.

LBW Community College will welcome the founder and CEO of Transfr Inc., Bharani Rajakumar as the keynote speaker for the 2023 graduation ceremonies on May 12.

“Bharani is a pioneer in the world of education,” said LBW President, Dr. Brock Kelley.

“I have had an opportunity to see his company innovate how employers and schools train the future workforce.”

Transfr, an industry-leading virtual reality career training and exploration platform, is Rajakumar’s second education technology company. He was the co-founder of math tutoring software vendor LearnBop.

In 2016, Rajakumar received the Outstanding Leader of the Year Award from the United States Distance Learning Association.

He founded Transfr in 2017 using his understanding of how people learn, what gets them excited, and what skills they need to master to create their own pathways to career success.

“They are changing the landscape of education and leaving a legacy throughout the nation and in other countries,” Kelley added.

The College looks forward to having Mr. Rajakumar serve as the speaker for the graduation ceremonies on Friday, May 12, 2023, at the Kiwanis Community Center.   There will be a 10:00 a.m. ceremony for students receiving an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or an Associate in Science (A.S.). A second ceremony will be at 2:00 p.m. for students receiving an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S) or Certificates.
