The LBW Community College Foundation had 68 golfers participate in the 16th Annual Camellia City Classic at the Robert Trent Jones Cambrian Ridge Golf Trail on Wednesday, October 20.
“Funds from this tournament go towards dual enrollment scholarships for our students,” said Director of Institutional Advancement, Chrissie Duffy.
“We had a great turnout and a day full of driving for excellence in education. Congratulations to closest to the pin winner Jackson Scott and longest drive Skip Spurlin.”
First place winners were Jimmy Black, Mitch Thorn, Terry Barnes, and Greenville Mayor Dexter McLendon representing Southeast Gas.
Starr Insurance Group, LLC placed second with players Sam Starr, Lee Williams, Rob Martin, and Sam Studstill.
LBW Community College’s team with President Dr. Brock Kelley, Dean of Student Affairs Jason Jessie, ACCS Executive Director of Adult Education/Special Projects and System Initiatives David Walters, and ACCS Vice Chancellor for Student Success Olivier Charles placed third.
“This was one of our biggest turnouts ever,” said President Kelley. “Thank you to all the sponsors and players for supporting LBW’s mission and helping us move our vision forward.”
