LBW Community College recognizes that learning occurs in a variety of ways. As such, college credit may be awarded for learning obtained through non-traditional means, including, but not limited to, nationally recognized examinations, work experience, industry certifications, and military training credit. Students must complete a minimum of 25% of the credit hours required for their degree or certificate at LBW Community College. Prior learning credit is non-transferable, and students planning to transfer to another college or university should submit their test scores or documentation directly to their intended transfer institution to determine whether credit will be awarded. Additional policies regarding credit for prior learning are found in the College Catalog and Student Handbook. For more information about requesting credit for prior learning, contact Jan Riley, Director of Admissions and Records.
