LBW Community College uses the Alertus Emergency Notification system for notify students, faculty, and staff of emergency situations at all LBW locations.   Currently, LBWCC has the Alertus desktop notification system installed on all computers at all locations. Alertus also has a new app called AlertAware mobile app that all employees and students need to download and install. The mobile app will be used to send alerts to employees and students of emergency and severe weather alerts.

This system may also be used to send critical alerts about possible college closings and information dealing with student admission and financial aid.

For this system to be successful, the College needs all employees and students to install the AlertAware mobile app on your personal phone. 

The AlertAware app can be easily set up on your smartphone or mobile device allowing you to receive alerts and other notifications direct to you wherever you are. Once a user account for AlertAware has been created for you, an email titled “New Invitation” will be sent to the email address associated with the account. Students will use your A# email address for accessing this account.

To receive alert notifications on your smartphone or mobile device, you need to download and install the AlertAware Mobile app. You can search for the app in the app store for your
type of phone by searching for “AlertAware Mobile” or scan the QR codes below.
