      Canvas requires many different types of plug-ins be used with their course materials. Below is a list of the most common plug-ins. Note: We strongly recommend that each user has some type of antivirus and/or ad-ware software loaded on their computer.

      • Respondus Lockdown Browser

      Canvas Downloads:

      • Adobe Acrobat Reader - for viewing PDF documents
      • QuickTime - playing streaming movies and video
      • Flash Player - for viewing flash generated animation
      • Shockwave Player - for viewing shockwave interactive content
      • WinZip - for zipping and un-zipping files and folders   
      • Java - Java is needed for annimations, importing chatting and online games.

      Media Players

      • Windows Media Player 10- Choose operating system you are using and then download. Used for playing digital media
