Student Life

What will you do for fun?

Whether motivated to make a difference or simply to make friends, you can distinguish yourself at LBWCC by taking an active role in campus life from the moment you arrive.

Colleges of all sizes require leaders to plan and stage events, to compete on the playing fields, and to govern their campuses. Among the many advantages of a community college, however, are plentiful opportunities for leadership that are open to all who seek them. At LBWCC, you'll come to know leadership firsthand when you experience it in multiple contexts - social, athletic, academic and political.

With more than 15 student-run organizations and clubs, LBWCC offers plenty of opportunities to get involved and have fun. Just take a look at some of our student life offerings:

Four Varsity Sports
LBWCC is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) for Mens and Womens basketball, baseball, and softball

Fine Arts
On LBWCCs Andalusia Campus there is an Art Program that offers courses in drawing, painting, two dimensional designs and three dimensional designs.  We also have a Dramatic Arts Program as well as Music Performance courses.

Social Activities
There are a variety of events held each year that LBWCC students are encouraged to participate in.  The events include the Ms. LBWCC Pageant, Saints Day, Blue and White Day, assembly programs, and special performances held in conjunction with the Covington Arts Council.

Also, each year students, faculty, and staff members join together to form the LBWCC Saints Relay for Life team.
