Blackboard Tutorials

 

These Blackboard tutorials simulate many of the tasks you are expected to perform during this Distance Education class. Refer to these tutorials when you need help with Blackboard. These tutorials have sound so turn on your speakers.

The Start Here Module


Course Content Page consists of Modules with content such as lectures notes, presentations, assignments, and quizzes.


Announcements are used by the instructor to remind you of information.


Quizzes are tests for which grades are assigned. Depending upon the type of questions in a quiz, quizzes or exams can be completely or partially graded by Blackboard.

Assignments consist of documents that can be downloaded and then submitted to the instructor.


The Calendar contains quiz dates and class information.


Chat is used by some instructors for group projects or for virtual office hours.


Discussions allow instructors and students to engage in online discussions.


Learning modules contain course information that is also located on the home page (content page).


Mail allows instructors and students to send, receive, reply and forward mail messages to others in the course.


Web links contain links to internet sites that your instructor considers important.


My Grades can be released to students


Who’s Online allows you to “IM” students that are in your class that are also online.
