Graduation

Lurleen B. Wallace Community College students work closely with their academic advisors each semester to enroll in program specific courses which lead to the degree or certificate they have chosen to pursue. Degree plans and STARS guides are on-line resources which aid students, advisors, and counselors in this process.  The successful completion of all graduation requirements culminates with commencement exercises which are held once each academic year in May. These exercises are held in the Kiwanis Community Center on the South Bypass/Kiwanis Drive in Andalusia.

To receive a diploma and to participate in the May graduation ceremony, candidates must have completed all graduation requirements at the end of the previous fall, by the end of the spring semester, or be scheduled for completion at the end of the succeeding summer term. In addition, candidates must submit an application for graduation and cap and gown order form in the Office of Student Services and pay the $37 graduation fee by the due date of March 31.
