Tech Prep

Are you ready to begin an exciting and fulfilling technical career?
You DO NOT have to wait until after high school graduation!

Start NOW through Tech Prep! !!

The federally funded Tech Prep Program is designed to provide technical career information to high school students prior to their enrollment in post-secondary education. LBWCCs technical programs offer students an exciting way to earn a degree or certification in technical based careers. In addition, most of our programs can be completed in only one and a half to three years. We can get you in the workforce quickly!

Want to Earn Free College Credit?
You can start earning college credit through Dual Enrollment and Articulation!

Our Career Tech Dual Enrollment program allows eligible high school students to take college courses while they are still enrolled in high school. This is a tremendous way for students to get their future careers kick started! By taking dual enrollment courses prior to graduation, students earn college credits and reduce the amount of time they spend in their chosen program after graduation.

Another great way to begin your college career is through high school articulation. LBWCC currently has numerous articulation agreements with the surrounding city and county school districts for specific courses. These agreements allow students to receive college credits for courses they can take at thier high school. Therefore, students have the opportunity to save money and get their college credits started. Students and counselors must complete the appropriate paperwork and submit this information to the college. Ask your guidance counselor what articulation credits may be available for you.
