Continuing Education

Continuing Education includes a comprehensive array of short-term, non-credit, low-cost special interest classes offered to all ages designed to meet the needs of the communities within the College's service area. Examples of special interest classes include: Yoga, Karate, Aerobics, Beginner Computer Course, Ballroom Dancing, Hunter Education, and Boating Safety.

In addition, you can access hundreds of online continuing education courses through LBWCC's partnership with ed2go. Click here for more information.

LBWCC also offers a variety of healthcare classes designed to educate nurses and to assist them in obtaining continuing education units to maintain licensure. LBWCC is an Approved Contact Hour Credit Course Provider for the Alabama Board of Nursing. ABNP 1187 effective dates: 10/10/2008 to 10/10/2012.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Enrollment is not official until payment is received. No refunds will be issued after the first course meeting.  Students may enroll in Continuing Education courses until the first course meeting if space is available. A cancellation decision will be made for any course that has not met minimum enrollment requirements. If a course does not have sufficient enrollment, the Business Office will issue a refund to those who have registered and paid for the course.
