LPN to ADN Mobility

 

 

Program Description

Nursing is a professional career that requires critical thinking skills. The field of nursing can provide emotional rewards and professional benefits. Nurses today are expected to maintain a caring and compassionate attitude while operating in intricate life-saving situations. They assist clients in lifestyle changes and promoting self-care for clients with chronic self-limiting health concerns. If you feel you are ready to advance your career, then the LPN to RN Mobility Program offers a unique opportunity for you.

 Admission Requirements
Prerequisite Course Requirements

  • BIO 103 Principles of Biology

  • ORI 101 Orientation to College (1 credit hour)

  • MTH 100 or Higher Level Mathematical Applications (3 credit hours)

  • ENG 101 English Composition (3 credit hours)

  • BIO 201 Human Anatomy and Physiology I (4 credit hours)

  • BIO 202 Human Anatomy and Physiology II (4 credit hours)

  • NUR 200 Nursing Career Mobility Assessment (6 credit hours) - requires Alabama LPN license,
    500 documented work hours as an LPN within the last 12 months of admission.

Total Prerequisites: 21 credit hours

  • Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) test. TEAS V is the current version of the test.

  • Admission to the Associate Degree Nursing Program is competitive, and the number of students is limited by the number of faculty and clinical facilities available.

 

Meeting minimal requirements does not guarantee acceptance
