Adult Education

 

LBW Community College Adult Education Program

The Adult Education Program provides free adult education and literacy services to students seeking to improve their academic and life skills. Instructional methods are based on individual students needs and may include one-on-one tutoring, group instruction, and computer-based instructional programs. Day and evening classes are provided in a variety of locations and are designed to prepare students to:

 

  • prepare to take the GED test

  • prepare for post-secondary education

  • obtain the knowledge and skills necessary for employment and self-sufficiency

  • obtain the educational skills necessary to become full partners in the educational development of their children

Adult Education Services:

To enroll in adult education:

Participants must be 17 years of age or older and:

  • have not earned a high school diploma or GED, or 

  • have a high school diploma or GED and need review for post-secondary study, or

  • for ESL students, cannot speak, read or write the English language

 

Classes are free of charge.
