I take great pleasure in welcoming you to my webpage. I wish you well here at LBWCC and hope that you cross my path as you fulfill your mathematical requirements during your tenure here as a student. For those of you who step into my classroom, be prepared to shake loose any math phobia and embrace the challenges that encircle the world of numbers. I certainly look forward to working with you as a student and am eager to assist you in any way that I can.
Let me tell you a little about Michelle Goosby, a mother, educator, vocalist, author, and journalist. I am the mother of two, Jacqueline and Dwight and the grandmother of two, Rosemary and Aiden. I have been teaching for nineteen years with thirteen of those years solely in the discipline of mathematics. I am a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where I sing in the mass choir. As a newspaper columnist for the Southeast Alabama Gazette, I am constantly writing inspirational pieces, to include poetry, on a biweekly basis. In April of this year, I published my first book of inspirational poetry and am presently working on my second book of mathematical poetry.
Also, I am an active member of Club Yesepoch, Inc., a charitable, non-profit civic organization which provides services for the community.
