Evans Barnes Endowment Increased

LBW Community College President Dr. Herb Riedel, left, and George Barnes of Andalusia are pictured as they complete an agreement that brings the previously established Evans Barnes Scholarship with the LBWCC Foundation to the current fully-endowed level. Barnes established the scholarship more than 15 years ago in honor of his father, who designed the golf course on the Andalusia campus. Investment income from scholarship endowments allows the Foundation to assist deserving students with scholarships covering tuition and fees.
