ICD-10 Medical Coding Course
LBWCC in Opp is offering ICD-10 Medical Coding Course on Mondays and Wednesdays, 6-8 p.m., Jan. 27 through Feb. 19, 2014, Health Sciences Building, Room 103, located at 1708 North Main Street (Hwy. 331 N) in Opp, Ala.
Advanced registration is required - space is limited so register early to ensure your spot!
This eight-week training course is designed to assist successful completers prepare for the CPC certification exam. This is a short-term, non-College credit course for students who do not wish to earn a degree.
The focus is learning the coding rules for the ICD-10. The course will cover: ICD-10-CM Structure, ICD-10-CM Format, guidelines to include similarities/differences between ICD-9 and ICD-10, coding tips, coding exercises, and preparation for assessment.
Previous coding experience is required.
This is a study course only.
AAPC 2014 ICD-10-CM
Important: Students are required to purchase their own book prior to the first night of class. Books will NOT be available in the LBWCC bookstore. They can be purchased directly from AAPC at: www.aapc.com/medical-coding-books/2014/2014-icd-10-book.aspx
Students may enroll in the class until Jan. 27 if space is available. Enrollment is not official until payment is received. No refunds will be issued after the first course meeting. This is a short-term, non-credit training program. The Refund Policy for credit courses does not apply to this course.
If the class does not have sufficient enrollment, the business office will issue a full refund to those who have registered for the course. Participants will be notified if the course is cancelled.
Course Fee: $250 - due at the time of registration
Supplies: Students are required to purchase a notebook, pens and pencils on their own.
Book: Students are required to purchase their own book prior to the first night of class (see above for more information).
