Introduction to SolidWorks Basics
LBW Community College in Opp is offering an “Introduction to SolidWorks Basics” training course Oct. 29- Dec. 10, 2013. This 24-hour course will be held on the MacArthur Campus in Building F, Room 004. Classes will meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-8 p.m.
This course is designed to prepare students to use SolidWorks mechanical CAD software to build parametric models of parts and assemblies, and to make drawings of those parts and assemblies. The course is designed around a process-based, or task-based, approach to training. Rather than focus on individual features and functions, a process-based training course emphasizes the process and procedures necessary to complete a particular task. By utilizing case studies to illustrate these processes, students learn the necessary commands, options and menus in the context of completing a design task.
The cost of the course is $195 per participant. Space is limited. Enrollment is not official until payment is received. Students may register in person at any location of LBW Community College in the Student Services office, Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., or Friday, 8 a.m. - noon.
