OSHA Training offered at MacArthur Campus

LBW Community College – MacArthur Campus in Opp is offering an OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Compliance and Workplace Safety Training Course February 21 – March 1, 2012. Classes will be held on Tuesday and Thursday 6 pm – 9 pm for two weeks in the Conference Center Building.
In order to allow adequate time for student instruction and questions, instructional time is scheduled for 12 classroom hours and meets the minimum 10 hours OSHA requirement. Students who successfully complete this course will be awarded a certificate and will be eligible to request their OSHA 10-Hour General Industry wallet card from The Georgia Institute of Technology OTIEC.
This training program is intended to provide entry level general industry employers and employees information about how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent job related hazards on a job site. In addition to OSHA Standards, the training covers a variety of general industry safety and health hazards which employers and employees may encounter. Training will emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not just OSHA standards.
The cost of the course is $125 per participant. Books for the course are optional and available for purchase in the LBWCC – MacArthur Campus Bookstore.
