New leadership with LBWCC Foundation
The LBWCC Foundation recently held its first meeting of 2013, electing new board members and officers.
Kim Carter with Covington Electric Cooperative is the newly-elected president and chair of the Foundation’s executive committee. John Thompson, City of Andalusia, is serving as vice president, and Shannon Gooden, Southeast Alabama Gas District, is secretary/ treasuer. Also serving on the executive committee is Immediate Past-President Jennifer Curry, CCB Community Bank.
During the meeting, outgoing board members were recognized for their years of service, including Jana Wyatt, Mizell Memorial Hospital in Opp, and Crenshaw County Probate Judge Jim Perdue in Luverne.
New board members elected for a three-year term include C.J. Agro with Agro ENT in Andalusia; Debbie Franklin, Mizell Memorial Hospital, Opp; Mark Murphy with Murphy, Murphy & McCalman law office in Andalusia; Anne Sumblin, Stone Sumblin Law LLC in Kinston; and John Wilson, Super Foods Supermarkets, Luverne.
Continuing their service on the board are Suellen Autrey, retired educator, Greenville; Cary Baker, Shaw Industries, Andalusia; Danielle Baker, Opp; Ivan Bishop, TV Cable of Andalusia; Renee Burgess, office of Dr. Charles M. Burgess Jr., Opp; Carolyn Graham, Southern Independent Bank, Andalusia; Deidra Laird, Designs by Deidra, Opp; Debbie Marcum, PowerSouth, Andalusia; Stallion Sasser, Sasser Enterprises, Andalusia; Billy Joe Stallworth, Andalusia; and Dr. Jean Thompson, retired educator, Greenville.
