Hall named ALAPCAE president-elect
LBW Community College is well-represented in the areas of adult and continuing education as Jennifer Hall, adult education and workforce specialist, fills a vacancy with the Alabama Association for Public Continuing and Adult Education (ALAPCAE) as the new president-elect.
The ALAPCAE board of directors issued the call for nominees to fill the vacated position and announced the selection this week.
“I will complete the current term through June of next year,” she said. “At the conclusion of the 2014 conference, I will become president of ALAPCAE for a term of one year.”
To be considered for the office, candidates must be active members in good standing and actively engaged in publicly supporting adult and continuing education. Hall works in the adult education and workforce development division of LBWCC in Opp.
Earlier this year, Hall was presented the Alabama Workforce Development Professional Certification by Alabama Community College System Chancellor Dr. Mark Heinrich after she completed a 64-hour training program to identify and help close skills gaps with Alabama companies.
The mission of ALAPCAE is to promote public awareness of the Alabama Adult Education program, address the professional development needs of Alabama’s adult education practitioners, recognize excellence of instructional services, and provide scholarships to deserving GED graduates throughout the state.
LBWCC offers adult education and GED preparation in Andalusia, Opp, Greenville and Luverne. For more information, call 334-493-5315.
