Free Boating Safety Course


LBWCC is offering a FREE boating safety course sponsored by the Alabama Marine Police Division. The program is Monday, April 23, and Tuesday, April 24, 6 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. each night in the Conference Center on the MacArthur Campus in Opp. Participants must attend both nights.

The course includes classroom instruction as well as the Alabama Boater Certification Exam. All persons 12 years of age or older who operate a motorized vessel on Alabama waters must be certified. Any boat operator born prior to April 28, 1954, is exempt from examination.
