Beginning Computer in Opp


LBW Community College in Opp is offering a seven-week “Beginner Computer Course” on Mondays, 6 - 8 p.m., Jan. 28 – Mar. 11, 2013.  Classes will be held in the Administration Building, Room A-3 on the MacArthur Campus. 

Learn about the computer and how it works in this no-pressure, slow-paced course.  Discover how the computer can be used for organizing your information, researching, and communicating with the world. Learn the parts of a computer and their uses. Work with the mouse, explore the Windows desktop, activate word processing programs, save and organize files, and use the internet. Gain confidence and feel comfortable using the computer at home or work.

The cost of the course is $80 per participant and includes handout material. Students are not required to purchase a book for this course. 

Space is limited.  Students may register in person in the Student Services Office Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. or Friday, 8 a.m. – Noon.  For more information call (334) 493-5344 or e-mail
